Hello From North Carolina...
Sydney and I have been in the States since July 4th, which by the way, was literally the longest day of our lives. But we made it and are enjoying the relatively cool weather (90's, 30% humidity) of North Carolina. (Never thought I'd be saying that NC felt "cool" in July. But now I live in Japan...)
Otherwise, we are enjoying the pools, the parks and family. Oh, and the shopping! Not much else to report...so, as I bore you with this entry, I can just hear Brian's thoughts: we only have an interesting blog because we live in Japan. But I blab from the States nonetheless since it is naptime and we are finally over the jet lag (meaning I don't need a nap, too!) On to Boston in two days...

I think we lost our audience. :( Not sure what happened.
Entries not frequent enough?
Maybe the China entries were too boring?
The Norwood fetus pictures scared them off?
If you're still out there, let us know.
I'm back. It is hard to catch up when you have been a way from the "big time" for such a long period of time. I'm sure Dave is still out there but is probably getting ready for their new addition. Bernese Mountain Dog.
We're here!
We've posted.
We're a little upset that Diane and the cute little tyke were in the Boston area yet we received no phone call to come say hi (Danielle even has a nice new car to drive up to the North Shore in). You know we would have been there in a heartbeat.
Curtis, we knew the poop would keep you busy. Good to know you're rising to the top of the pile, though. Dog is less than a month away and we are excited.
Ezra, you are a man of few words but the words you do choose to put out there....powerful. It's amazing how much can be said in a single word. Beautiful really.
I am bad about checking to see what is new. I usually dont check for a while, then spend hours devouring every word and picture. We went back home to Norfolk Friday to drop the boys off at Grandma's house for 2 weeks and we were very nostalgic. We miss you guys terribly! Driving past your house and dairy queen on 21st street made me sad!
Glad to hear you're all still out there in cyberspace! Good to hear from you all, we miss you.
It's been just Mitch and I for the past couple weeks and its definitely been boring. I've been working a lot so Mitch is really depressed. Sorry, I don't have anything interesting to say about Japan, and I haven't taken any pictures.
Bernese Mountain dog Dave? Guess you didn't want one of the millions of dogs at the pound nobody wants? Where are the mountains in Boston anyway? I'm sure Mitch could kick you're mountain dogs Pepe any day. If not I'm sure Ezra's 10 dogs could do the job. Sorry Laura, but Alex couldn't kick anyones Pepe. So I guess what I'm really trying to say Dave is send a picture when you get him/her...it.
Thanks for visiting Norfolk for us Laura. Hope everything is going well in SC.
10 to 1 is never a fair fight unless you are watching a martial arts movie.
On a side note, flipping through channels yesterday I landed on Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla. A 1994 production. For all the advances in technology that come from Asia, it seems that the green screen has not quite been discovered. Effects were terrible. Their spaceship lookt like my Voltron circa mid 1980 hanging from a string against a black piece of cardboard with some holes cut into it. Terrible. You should do something about it.
And as for Mitch kicking our BMDs pepe...have you seen the Berners? He's going to be like 120 pounds (yes, I am an American and am in America, there is no metric system here). While Mitch could take the puppy - and what kind of a dog do you have that beats up a kid, really, you are a kiddy doc - I doubt he could take the dog.
And our puppy is going to be all dog, baby. Aaaaaw yeeeeaaaah!
Danielle tried to find a Berner mix, something we could find at a pound, but apparently they don't really exist.
And Beacon Hill is less like a hill and more like a mountain, man. It's the everest of Boston. And heartbreak hill, you know, on the marathon route, is like the Andes.
Of course, Danielle just pointed out that we live in Jamaica PLAIN, but I will choose to ignore that as this suits my argument better.
This is how I win arguments. I learned it by watching our politicians. And CNN. You sure you want to come back here?
Actually only 3. Well, more like two and a half.
Dave....I don't even know where to begin. I think that should have been a blog entry rather than a comment! Cute dog, thanks for sending the pics. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure Mitch could take him at any age, any day of the week...and 9 of his friends. You see Mitch keeps himself physically fit, doesn't have an ounce of fat on him. So he's fast. And now that he has been in Japan for a year he is beginning to learn the martial arts. Mitch is more of a lover than a fighter though. So the odds are better that Mitch would try to hump your dog than try and fight with it!
