Gaijin means "foreigner to Japan" and all the stereotypes that go with it... including but not limited to the inappropriate use of chopsticks! We have an inherent ignorance when living in a foreign country and it makes for some very entertaining experiences! Thought we'd share some of them...hope you enjoy!

Hi Diane and Brian! Suzanne and I were just looking at your blog--it is great! We are starting to wonder where we might end up at the end of next year and were curious about Japan. We can't believe how big Sydney is! People always say "they grow up so fast," but I guess we didn't realize how true that is until we had Carter. He is almost 7 months and doing very well. We have a feeling his first word will be something about the dog too! Anyway, hope all is well. Hope to talk with you guys sometime. -Scott&Suzanne
Hi guys! Never left a comment before, but I do often read your interesting blog. Sydney is looking so cute & growing up so fast! Don't feel bad about her not saying "mama" yet. I think Kaylee said every other word in the dictionary before she would say mama. She even said my name first. Drove my sister crazy.
